Publisher's summary

Kit Morgan delivers yet another fun romp through the old west! Enjoy this sweet, mail order bride story!

Sheriff Spencer Riley and his mother recently ordered his big brother Clayton a mail order bride for Christmas! Too bad neither one of them bothered to tell Clayton, so imagine his surprise, and Spencer thought it to be one of the funniest things ever...until it happened to him! "After all," his mother told him. "If Clayton can have a mail order bride for Christmas, why can't you have one for New Year's?" So much for the annual scarf and mitten set she usually got for him this time of year! Just what sort of mail order bride was HE going to get?

Elle Barstow spent most of her life at Winslow's Orphanage but now it was time to leave and either find a job (of which there were none) become a mail order bride, or take to the streets of New Orleans and hope for the best. Becoming a mail order bride looked like the safest option, but Elle soon learned things don't always go the way we think they will. Unwittingly involved in a horrendous encounter before she leaves New Orleans, Elle can't possibly marry her future husband when she doesn't know if she's considered guilty of murder! She figures her only chance is to avoid the law, not to mention her future husband, until she finds out what really happened. Easier said than done. Her future husband IS the law!

Simply Wonderful

Absolutely wonderful from beginning to end. Love how it could be a stand alone but also brings in the book before and introduces the next book.

Narrator was awesome

The book was average, I believe this is best for young adults or teens, not grown women. The performance was amazing tho. I’ll be listening to more Rahhal narrations in the future.

The Journey Continues

I could not wait to hear this one after book one with Clayton and Summer. Now it is Spencer, Clayton brothers turn! SInce all went so well with Summer, his mother decided to set Spencer up with his own!
Elle Barstow had just turned eighteen and it was time for her to leave the orphanage in New Orleans. But it was ending up just like Summer, with that awful man Mr Spenser trying to nab the girls and put them in a brothel or worse! So she had to quickly leave to become a mail order bride and get out of town. As she was trying to get to the train, she and her escort from the orphanage were running from the men following them and something awful happened. But she made it and landed in Nowhere, Washington Territory to meet her future husband.
When she and Spenser see each other, they are smitten on sight. Another amazing adventure, full of humor, annoying characters, and a town of wonderful characters.
Michael Rahhal is simply the best narrator as he produces the most amazing voices! At times it is hard to believe it is him as he flawlessly changes from one character to another. With Kit Morgan's delightful words and Michael's wonderful dialogue, these are truly the best ever!!

Excellent sweet series!

This is my second book in this series and I just love it! The narrator is really good, even with the voices of the women. The stories are sweet, which I prefer, so no premarital sex here. Faith is unashamedly mentioned and the characters are all fleshed out enough that you feel as if you know them. The stories are interesting and I really like like that they take place in the same location so you don't lose track of the folks you read about in the preceding book, and hopefully books, as I intend to listen to them all. Welcome to my list of favorite authors of romance, Ms. Kit Morgan! Highly recommend this author and this series!
