About this listen
Hi. My name is Frank. This is my story.
I'm sure there are other bottles in the stream, carrying other stories about what happened. This is what I recall. Some might say, it is my version of the truth.
Will we ever know what happened? Some are certain they know, "preaching it", as it were, "from the rooftops". Some are certain, but keep silent, for fear their truth will come out.
Most of the world didn't live all the way through those cataclysmic events. Most of us who did are content to just write our stories down, place them in bottles and toss those bottles into the stream. Like most, I'm hoping that somebody downstream will find my story. Then perhaps, all the stories will merge. All the pieces will be put together. And at last we'll finally know what really happened.
And of course there will always be those who say that nothing ever happened. That the rest of us just were dreaming or having nightmares. But, I know better. At least I think I do.
This is my story of what happened the night the stars went away.

Can love actually enable a relationship to survive death? The Afterlife Revolution triumphantly says that it can. After a near-death experience in 2004, Anne Strieber became an expert in afterlife studies and created an ingenious plan of contact which, to her husband Whitley's amazement, she proceeded to carry out, starting just an hour and a half after she died. As verified by famed afterlife researcher Dr. Gary Schwartz, who wrote the foreword, The Afterlife Revolution is among the most convincing stories of afterlife communication ever told.

Story
Renowned Native American expert Thomas Mails was chosen by the last surviving elders to reveal to the outside world the sacred Hopi prophecy and instructions at precisely the time in history when they are most urgently needed. The Hopi Survival Kit is the first full revelation of traditional Hopi prophecy. Many of its predictions have already been realized, but the most shattering apocalyptic events are still to occur. And though this may be a sobering realization, it is also our best defense.

Turning 30, artist and speaker Kyle Scheele wanted to do something unusual to mark this milestone. Instead of a birthday bash, he decided to hold a funeral to memorialize the decade of his life that was ending. Building a 16-foot Viking ship out of cardboard, he invited friends to help him set it on fire—a symbolic farewell to his 20s and all the grief, regret, and mistakes that accompanied those years.

In a rant posted on social media, the great Canadian satirist announced loud and clear that the 15th season of the Rick Mercer Report - the nation's best-watched and best-loved comedy show - would be the last. This volume brings together never-before-published rants from the last five seasons of the show, plus a selection of the very best rants from earlier years.

Story
Sometimes achieving big things requires the ability to think small. This simple concept was the driving force that propelled the Volkswagen Beetle to become an avatar of American-style freedom, a household brand, and a global icon. The VW Bug inspired the ad men of Madison Avenue, beguiled Woodstock Nation, and has recently been re-imagined for the hipster generation. And while today it is surely one of the most recognizable cars in the world, few of us know the compelling details of this car’s story.

Stars leaving?
The narrator was awesome his voice while telling the story kept me going. The story was a bit distressing if you think about it too much. That may be why the story was written. Given the fact I am just drinking my first cup of coffee I’m not ready to drive right in. Thank goodness it’s short.

"Without cranng my neck"
Frank hates the cold, so when his wife calls him to look at the star filled sky two nights before Christmas, he doesn't pay much attention. It is some time later that he,like everyone else, learned that the stars had gone.
A delightful and humorous short story nicely read by Daniel Coker. A fun (and free) downloaded from freeaudiobookcodes, and recommended to fill a full half an hour.

hmmm
Short, A little odd, intriguing. A bit thin for such a premise. Would be interested in a longer novella with more perspectives. I think it would be an interesting read. Narrated well enough. Didn't regret the time.
