Publisher's summary

Sometimes death births new life, and that is fact for sisters Rhonnie and Ahli Malone. After facing the wrath of Madame, the young women take on the job of being security detail for none other than Sadie Thomas, the head of The Last Kings. With a new drug, Vita E Morte, doing numbers under her belt, it is apparent that Sadie has plans to distribute it all over the United States. However, after seeing the deadly side effects of the drug, Sadie agrees to get rid of the formula and take it off the market for good. Only somebody doesn't want her to. In fact, they'll do anything to get the formula for themselves, including taking out the leader of The Last Kings.

With a phantom gunning for her head and her own camp's loyalty being tested, Rhonnie and Ahli are the only ones that Sadie can trust with the location of the formula: Trap Street. It's a place only spoken of in hood myth. Legend is that not only is Trap Street a neutral ground for the most elite hustlers, but it's a fortress for their secrets. Once there, the only objective is to destroy the formula for Vita E Morte so no one can ever sell or take it again, but not even Sadie is prepared for the gory nightmare that awaits her.

pretty good

I've read a good amount of books from this author and I enjoy their writing style. This book kept me interested and entertained, though there wee some lulls and moments of ridiculousness. Still, I thought it was an interesting storyline and the execution of the story was good. Good read.

SUCH a good read!!!!

Loved all of the elements of this novel. A very well written urban action/adventure story with some beautiful love stories too (I’m such a softy). I think there was ONE maybe two sex scenes and couple of hot moments between characters but you will know what I’m talking about when u read and honneeyyyyyyyyyyy, very hott. They were real, especially the dirty talk. This was an all around good book with just the right amount of everything, even a little mystical element to boot. Idk what a sequal would be about but I’d love to follow these characters more.

It's ok

The story was ok, it just was not strong. Some of the things they did not make sense. They had Tina only 3 days but knew the effects of the drug. The first dose of the drug last 2 days. Your security can't protect you.
