About this listen

J.C.s life changes forever when four juvenile delinquents are forced to help him as their community service. One of them in particular, a muscular boy named Mateo, catches his eye, but could a hunky boy like him be interested in a skinny redhead like J.C.?

J.C. set out to clear the junk-filled lot next door to combat his loneliness and create a rose garden in memory of his recently deceased mother, but with the help of neighbors and four juvenile delinquents, he begins to transform the space into a community garden where others who are lonely come to socialize and tend their own little raised bed. Setting out to ease his own pain, J.C. helps bring happiness to the lives of others. Best of all, J.C. discovers he might have a chance with the boy of his dreams after all.

I found this book a bit slow. It was an ok story but when compared to Marks other works it doesn’t measure up. The narration was great.

Not as good as his other stuff…

Of what I liked about the story that was about a 14-yr old boy moving from Mississippi to Verona, IN And make an entire town come together for one purpose. Of what I didn't like was the story was a little boring, however, the narrator was very good. A good book, but not great.

The coming together of new people in a small town.
