About this listen

MY BRATVA BROTHER WILL KILL HIM IF HE TOUCHES ME.
Flynn Taylor, rock n roll heartthrob, plays fast and loose.
He's with different girls every night. Yes, girls plural.
On the brink of becoming not just a Chicago sensation, but an American icon,
he's everything I should avoid.
Then again, maybe it doesn't matter.
I'm so damaged, I'm not even capable of a relationship.
He might be the perfect antidote.
The temptation I need to lure me back to the side of the living.
He could help me get over my trauma. Attempt physical intimacy.
If it goes wrong, no harm, no foul, right?
If only I can keep my overprotective bratva brother from threatening
to kill him if he even touches me

Super emotional, intense and heartbreaking

Because I've enjoyed all the other books in this series, I suspected that Nadia and Flynn's romance was going to be super emotional, intense and heartbreaking, and I was spot-on. So please be prepared for the avalanche of raw emotions, mountains of feels and the massive amount of heart tugging that is coming straight for your heart. This is a well-written, engaging book that is filled with tension, drama, steam, sweetness and heart. Trust me, when I say that any damage done to your heart is totally worth the swoon you'll be feeling at the end. Loved the performances given by the narrators. They both did an amazing job of bringing these characters and their love story to life.

Awesome

This whole story was about people learning and healing and finding theirs elves and celebrating who they have become in their journey
It was very impactful seeing the growth and healing despite some people trying to tear them down and apart. An intense, raw ending . I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest opinion. The narrators did a great job bringing the characters and story to life
I recommend this book.

Again, these two narrators brought this wonderful story to life for me. It's a pleasure to sit back and just listen to their voices!

Favorite of the Series

I enjoyed the narration. I thought it enhanced the story. My review of the ebook is below, and it has not changed.

Story review
I am thinking this might be my favorite book in the series. Flynn and Nadia fit together like two puzzle pieces. I loved the idea of them being each others safe place to land.

It was amazing that after Nadia survived her experience that she could even function. Reading how Nadia grew was kind of expected. The deal with Danica was totally unexpected. The pleasant surprise was what happened with Flynn after being involved with Nadia. Then there was the one thing that cemented their bond.

This book was a little sad, but mostly sweet, sexy, and romantic. I think most people would appreciate a Flynn in their lives. It seemed like almost everyone got an HEA at the end of this book.

So Engaging

I listened to this book in about a week. Even though I had read it previously, I was totally engrossed in the audio version. The female narrator really nailed the accent for me. This whole series is a favorite but Oleg will always have my heart.

another winner

Love this series. This is one of the more difficult stories to listen to as it deals with fairly dark subject matters. The story takes great care during these portions of the story. Overall it is a great addition to the Chicago Bratva series. Looking forward to the next installment.

Telling Their Story

It's quickly obvious that this is part of a connected series, but that didn't impede my enjoyment. This is a mafia-adjacent book, but not directly involving mafia activity except for one incident.

Flynn Taylor is sweet and empathic when it comes to Nadia "Peaches" Turgenev and her fears. I love how once he sees or senses any unease in her, he immediately tries to change the mood. He may be a player, but it's easy to see his appeal.

The things Nadia has endured are absolutely horrible. She's so much stronger than she gives herself credit for. Stronger than even her brother, Adrian, gives her credit. I love that Flynn sees it and nurtures it. The setbacks are hard, but I like that she keeps pushing herself to be a better version of herself.

I'm rarely phased by a person's prior sexual history. In this case, I find that I appreciate that Flynn doesn't hide from his past, even when it tries to bite him in the butt. I also like that Nadia is real about not having a right to be upset about what happened before they became more.

I listened to the audio book. The narrators are Kingsley Rose and Benjamin Sands. Both are new to me, and I enjoyed listening to them so much. The accents and voices are wonderfully done.

An Incredible Read and Listen!!

The title is a great play on words, as Flynn plays in the band The Storytellers, and he attracts the ladies - so is a bit of a player. Nadia, sister to Adrian, was a victim of trafficking, and barely leaves her apartment. She pushes herself to watch the Storytellers play, Flynn in particular, as many from The Kremlin also attend.

When Flynn witnesses her having a panic attack, he knows just what to do as his mom suffered from them. He did not make a big deal of it, making Nadia even more comfortable in his presence. Emotional and fabulous - this story will keep you enthralled to the very end.

Nadia’s Story~ I’m a survivor

First off big shout out to the narrators who brought this book to life❤️

Flynn: opening lines and I’m already in love … caring compassionate and unapologetic.

Nadia: strength courage and determination

This touches a difficult topic ~ human trafficking. Renee brings it to light without gratuitous indulgence. Less is more approach.

This is possibly my favourite bratva book of the series.

Every detail is well thought out~ a seamless flow. It touches so many areas including mental health which is so difficult in itself. Hard topic done with class.
Renee this one moved me… you’re a rising star.
