About this listen

Did you know there is power in humility?

Step into a faith-strengthening spiritual discovery with The Power Paradox: Winning through Downward Mobility by Art McNeese.

This provocative listen is an insightful exploration of Christian living, inviting listeners to consider a new viewpoint, guided by the powerful examples found within the pages of Scripture.

From the heartfelt lessons gleaned from Peggy Taylor, a special needs teacher, to the paradigm-shifting teachings of Jesus, McNeese illuminates the transformative power of embracing weakness and humility.

The Power Paradox challenges listeners to reconsider traditional notions of power and success. As seen in examples ranging Jesus' radical model of downward mobility to Paul's acceptance of weakness, each chapter offers a fresh perspective on what it means to live a life rooted in faith.

The book offers a rich and engaging resource for individuals, small groups, and Bible classes, as it provides prayers, practical applications and discussion questions.

McNeese provides an exceptional discussion of the connection between humility and a healthy sense of identity. As he describes the life journeys of Madonna, Hugh Jackman, Amy Winehouse, and others, he unveils the crucial importance of “finding ourselves” by looking to God.

Whether you're seeking to deepen your spiritual walk or cultivate a deeper sense of dependence on God, The Power Paradox offers a compelling roadmap for embracing the life-changing power of weakness.

This groundbreaking book is a must-listen for anyone seeking to unlock the secret to a life of true fulfillment and purpose.

The truth will not always be easy to hear. We are a society of do it yourselfers. Our personal pride is wrapped around what we can do or how we can appear strong and successful. But the truth is power only comes from surrendering to our creator and knowing just how vulnerable we are. Art very eloquently and in a biblically correct context shows us how God’s love shores us up in high and low circumstances. He shows us love regardless of our failings and weaknesses. We can trust him always.
