You get what you pay for?

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No, because the actual recording is very noisy and the storyline is very tediously slow. There was much that could have been bypassed to finally get to the actual storyline. And I would be very embarrassed to recommend anyone a book with so many mistakes.

Would you ever listen to anything by Vicki Hopkins again?

Big NO.

What about Stevie Zimmerman’s performance did you like?

I'm sure it wasn't her fault that the recording itself is very faulty, as it is very noisy in the background with weird pauses that are quite unexplainable that felt very uncomfortable to my ears (I listen to books with ear buds/headphones, so may not be noticeable otherwise.) But I enjoyed listening to her voice. It is very pleasant and she can do a spot-on French accent. She is also very good at the other character's accents that stem from Irish to Asian and more. There were many times though, as I listened on more into the story, where the main character started sounding really air headed to me and her voice many times annoying.

I definitely recommend downloading this audio version if you are downloading the book too, because Stevie fixes all of the countless horrible mistakes in the book (definitely was not edited/proofread!!!) I appreciated that Stevie fixed all of that very much.

Was The Price of Innocence worth the listening time?

To be honest, even though I paid about $2 for it, I feel like it wasn't even worth that. At least the book was free.

Any additional comments?

I find it very strange that the author tells the listener/reader of the second book of the series that "continues the saga of your favorite characters," but yet admits that it is set 5 years later Suzette is dead. Why would I want to read it with the main character gone??

so boring

I fell asleep... the narration was not all that great either...maybe a sale book...save your credits for something with a bit more punch!

Warning: Don't buy this one!!!!

What disappointed you about The Price of Innocence?

It started out depressing and it ended worse :-{
OK, I'll grant you, it was a realistic piece. But really???? It sucked

Has The Price of Innocence turned you off from other books in this genre?

no

What does Stevie Zimmerman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I was driving cross country. I buy them to listen on these long drives.

What character would you cut from The Price of Innocence?

The characters were fine... it was the story line. I mean, it got worse and then it got bad.

Any additional comments?

I'm never going back to this series again.
