About this listen

“As to methods there may be a million and then some, but principles are few. The man who grasps principles can successfully select his own methods. The man who tries methods, ignoring principles, is sure to have trouble.” - Harrington Emerson

Do you ever feel overwhelmed by the sheer number of training decisions to be made when working with a horse? Should you speed up, slow down, turn left, turn right? What transition should you make next? Which body part should you move where?

What if you didn’t need to memorize a million techniques and scenarios, but just needed to understand the principles at play in each situation?

The Principles of Training offers readers an understanding of the 12 fundamental principles that all successful horse people use and illustrates them with real-life examples to help readers fully understand why effective training works.

Authenticity

I liked Warwick's journey of knowledge he has gained through experiences in the horse world.

This book is a Must for anyone who wants a better connection with horses!!

Warwicks principals are easy to follow and understand. After subscribing to his on line course, I was able to understand my horse much better and our connection became much stronger. I will listen to this book a few times, as I will get something different from it each time I hear it.
Loved being able to listen to this Fabulous book instead of actually reading it. I could drive, do housework, ect. The computer generated voice wasn’t half bad. There were a few hiccups, but overall I was impressed.
I’m truly Grateful for all of Warwicks insight and wisdom.
I would Highly recommend this book to any one wanting to have a better connection with horses!

Good content, dislike virtual narration.

I liked the material of the book very much. But I absolutely did not like the virtual voice narration. The inflection and accent of the Voice was fine. lack the ability to understand how to pronounce various words based on the context of the sentence such as picking up a lead referring to how a horse travels and pronouncing it as lead metal. In future, I would much prefer live narrators.
