About this listen
I have written a number of books about the paranormal, mainly on the powers and abilities people can obtain through spiritual growth practices.
Lately, I was thinking about what else I could write about on the subject and realized that I’ve had my own experiences with spirits and ghosts which have not been written about. This phenomena is not an internal psychic or spiritual ability.
This book covers the best evidence I can find on the reality of ghosts and spirits.
In 1975, while in college, I had an adventure where I was attacked by some type of entity.
It is not the focus of this book, but I do believe that entities can invade and take over people’s minds. These may be what the ancients called demons.
In 1980, while on a trip to Israel, I also took a picture in front of the Holy Sepulcher Church which showed some type of entity or spirit very clearly.
There is a lot of evidence that ghosts or disembodied spirits exist, so we cover many ghost pictures.
This book covers mystery ships also, which may have been haunted, and some certainly had ghosts, too.

In 1956, a stunned world watched as the famous Italian ocean liner Andrea Doria sank after being struck by a Swedish vessel off the coast of Nantucket. Unlike the Titanic, this sinking played out in real time across radios and televisions, the first disaster of the modern age. Audiences witnessed it all: the unthinkable collision of two modern vessels equipped with radar; perilous hours of uncertainty; the heroic rescue of passengers, and the final gasp as the pride of the Italian fleet slipped beneath the Atlantic, taking some 50 lives with her.

In 1979, Diane Fine was on her way from upstate New York to Vermont to see an obstetrics specialist for her high risk pregnancy, and experienced two hours of missing time. When she was finally examined at the clinic, she was told wasn't pregnant.

They believed they would live forever. Beginning her narrative in 1848 with two sisters who claimed they could speak to the dead, Ptacin reveals how Spiritualism first blossomed into a national practice during the Civil War, yet continues - even thrives - to this very day.

Story
In March of 1984, the commercial fishing boat Wind Blown left Montauk Harbor on what should have been a routine offshore voyage. Its captain, a married father of three young boys, was the boat’s owner and leader of the four-man crew, which included two locals and the blue-blooded son of a well-to-do summer family. After a week at sea, the weather suddenly turned, and the foursome collided with a nor’easter. They soon found themselves in the fight of their lives. Tragically, it was a fight they lost. Neither the boat nor the bodies of the men were ever recovered.

Combining memoir and essay, these moving and eloquent pieces examine what it means to be an artist from a country in crisis.
