The Reincarnation of Marie, an epistolary, historical romance by Jim Woodman, tells the story of how Roussel’s obsession led to a doomed love affair with Marya, a haunted young art student with uncanny similarities to Bashkirtseff. Convinced he'd discovered Bashkirtseff’s spirit reincarnated, Roussel found the impossible love he'd been looking for—just on the eve of his leaving for war.
Loosely based on a true story (and hints that the author was the one who fell in love with Marie), The Reincarnation of Marie is a rich narrative blurring historical reality with supernatural love. In the end, listeners are left with one question: can love truly conquer all—even death?

Emotional sensitivity
True deep love and accentuated sensitivity was so well shared in this touching story. Combining these beautiful experiences with sadness and appreciation of life are what makes this story self relevant. I was much moved . Thank you

Mystical realism at its best
I loved this book. It’s the story of a guy who finds his soulmate, only problem … She died a century earlier. I finished the book with tears in my eyes and more in their heart. What a tender love! It makes you believe in soulmates

A Captivating and Thought-Provoking Read!
The Reincarnation of Marie by Jim Woodman is a fascinating journey into the mysteries of past lives and how they shape our present. The story pulls you in from the start, with Marie’s experiences feeling so real and relatable. Woodman does a great job blending history, love, and spirituality into a story that’s both gripping and deeply emotional.The book is full of twists that keep you hooked, and the way it explores the idea of reincarnation is both unique and thought-provoking.
