About this listen
There is little written about the difference between the soul and the spirit, and even less about their salvation, as being distinguished one from another. Moreover, this subject seems to be of secondary importance as far as the daily life of faith of most Christians is concerned. However, the conscientious reader of the Bible must have noticed, in both the Old and the New Testaments, that the different authors were very comfortable in handling the concepts of soul and spirit, depending on the different places or contexts.
In the New Testament in particular, the ease with which they are used seems to indicate that the people of those times were far more familiar with these terms and their differences than most modern Western Christians. This is a good reason to look into the subject further.
We will see that this is by no means a trivial subject that the Bible does not address. The Bible deals with the difference between the spirit and the soul, and the salvation of the one and the other in detail, both in the Old and in the New Testament.
So, let's fasten our seatbelts and dive into the word of God!
