The titular daughter, the story's heroine is on the side of the patriots while her father, schoolmaster of Boston's prestigious Latin School, is a fervent loyalist. Jennifer Van Dyck gives a wide reaching performance voicing the Brits and Colonists of various ages and ranging from the delicate to the intense thrills of the story's narrative. Listeners looking to experience the Boston of early America will enjoy this tale's vivid depiction of its tumultuous historical setting.

At times the text becomes explicit and more appropriate for adults than young readers. Interesting viewpoint of the Boston historical times.

Excellent Historical fiction

The reader's voice was irritating to me. Not impressed with the story, though did give some good descriptions of what it might have been like living in Boston at the start of the Revolution . Came close to sending back for the credit spent.
