About this listen
An international serial killer is at large. Countless murdered victims are being discovered throughout England, France, and Spain. Will the killer or killers ever be caught?
SO MANY HAUNTING QUESTIONS ARE LEFT UNANSWERED
SO MANY FOOLISH MISTAKES ARE MADE
SO MANY BRUTAL KILLINGS ARE LEFT UNSOLVED
The year is nineteen eighty-five, and thirty-one-year-old Katherine looks back over her life and asks herself many challenging questions. Where do I belong? Is there any hope for me left? Can I survive another day?
Sadly, no answers to her plaguing questions come to her muddled mind.
Slumping back in a worn-out leather armchair that has seen better days, she gulps back the last of the strong Irish whiskey in her glass. A fiery liquid which she had far too much of this night. Yet, to cope with her disturbing life, she believes she needs alcohol to escape an existence that is tearing her apart daily.
Soon, she reflects on a time when she was young, beautiful, and carefree. Yet more quickly, the smile she briefly wore as she embraced a lovely memory fades away, and tears of despair fall heavily from her eyes.
Again, more questions flood her tormented mind,
“How did decisions beyond my control find me in the back of a lorry to deliver me to where I am now?”
“Will the serial killer who brutally murdered Madeline’s husband ever be caught? ”
Expelling a large breath of air held tightly in her lungs, Katherine intensely stares out the window that faces the dense and ominous woods before her.
Softly she whispers,
“One foolish mistake turned everything dreadfully wrong. How can I escape the utter madness that has become my life?”
Delve into Katherine’s chaotic world as she shares her emotional and traumatizing secret life. Assuredly, the dramatic twists and turns of a life in constant upheaval will have you wondering what will come next for this young woman who is desperate to survive one more day. Then, travel the uncertain road ahead with Katherine into a tumultuous future that will undoubtedly test her survival skills as well as her sanity.
***Although part of a series, this novel can be read as a stand-alone.*** Please be advised, this novel contains mature and graphic content. Not suitable for readers under eighteen.

Statistics tell us something that's almost impossible to grapple with: it's not the stranger in the dark women should fear, but the men they fall in love with. See What You Made Me Do is not only a searing investigation, but also a dissection of how that violence can be enabled and reinforced by the judicial system we trust to protect us. It carefully dismantles the flawed logic of victim-blaming and challenges everything you thought you knew about psychological abuse and emotional abuse relationships, while shining a spotlight on domestic violence awareness and abuse awareness.

Sexual trauma can dim or even extinguish the spark of our personalities—but deep within us, our souls remain as bright and beautiful as the day God gave them to us. Little Sweetheart, the true account of a twelve-year-old girl trapped in a sexual relationship with an older dance teacher, is much more than a memoir. With vulnerability and honesty, Amber Gregory integrates both spiritual inspiration and careful research with her autobiographical story. As she shares her healing journey—a journey she took with her Divine Soul Mate at her side—she empowers us to learn along with her. She ...

Story
My fiancé brought me tea and scrambled eggs in bed that morning, and we snuggled together, talking about buying our rings, and about our perfect wedding next year. Then we headed into town. He held my hand and gazed at the ring I liked best, a smile spreading slowly over his face. Then a glass of bubbly to celebrate. I felt flushed, excited and ready for the rest of my life with the man I loved. We race to get on the train home. It screams to a halt and I run towards its open doors. Made it. I think he’s right behind me — but when I turn around, he’s gone.

A Great Book That Kept Me Wanting to Hear More
I started to forego this book because I'm not into psychological thrillers. I'm so glad I decided to take a chance and listen to it. It kept my interest and kept me wanting to know if my assumptions were correct. This also helped me to understand where Katherine had disappeared to and the reasoning behind it. The virtual voice was decent. Now onto the next book in this new series.
