Someone is poisoning the Shadowlands and King Daemon is determined to find out who, but when he sees the rival kingdom's princess healing the poisoned pond, he wonders if everything is not as it seems. It doesn't help that he is captivated by her beauty and her floral smell is alluring.
Princess Azalea has no freedom since her mother has a firm hand in her life, but she sets out to prove that she is capable of ruling and to clear her kingdom's name when the Shadowland King accuses them of poisoning the few water sources his kingdom has.
Something goes wrong and they soon form a friendship to work together to find out who the culprit is.
