About this listen

"A great short story of suspense and romance; I loved it!" ~ Sinfully Tasteful Reads When the invitation to play the part of Portia in the Merchant of Venice presented itself, Rose Collingwood knew her family would never approve. But her mother’s friend, the Countess of Claremont, offered to be her guardian while she was in London. To preserve her reputation, she was given a disguise of her true identity. So, Rose became Miss Lily Underwood. All was going well and she was garnering many fans when a lost valentine and a deranged admirer threw Rose into the arms of the handsome Irish barrister, Morgan O’Connell, who was only too happy to oblige. The virtual voice

I’m not a fan of virtual voice since listening to this. To me it distracts from the story making it stilted and choppy. It’s a fair story even given the narration.
