    Too much speed?

Why don't you slow your iPod down? I found nothing wrong with the "speed" of the narrator in this or Volumes 2-7. Not a part of the original collection of stores written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle most of them have the flavor of the originals. Some of the introductions to each story by Dr. Watson are a bit tedious, but on the whole I find the whole (to my knowledge) series of stories excellent. And BTW I got two refunds from the iTunes Music Store of two of the series because of gaps in the content. I suppose this happened in the translation (compression) of Audible's MP3 to Apple's AAC (proprietary MP4) but this is purely speculative. All I know is that all the Sherlock Holmes stories from Audible at "best" quality for an iPod are great to listen to and in the fine tradition of the original stories. As for "too much speed" listen to the sample and make up your own mind.

    Please slow down!

Excellent writing but it was read so fast that I actually checked my player to see if it was running in fast forward.
