This book is an interesting interpretation of the Western genre, set in Oregon and California during the gold rush. I found the story compelling and the reader really gave the characters depth.Who was your favorite character and why?
Eli, the narrator. He was sympathetic while being flawed. What about William Hope???s performance did you like?

What sets the story apart is its unique blend of dark comedy and the exploration of morality. DeWitt crafts a narrative that is both entertaining and thought-provoking but not in a way which feels too heavy for a light read.
While the story may not adhere strictly to historical accuracy, it captures the essence of the era. The Sisters brothers, are well-developed and quite endearing in their own ways, adding richness to the narrative.
Overall, "The Sisters Brothers" is an enjoyable read for fans of historical fiction looking for something a bit offbeat. DeWitt's storytelling offers a fresh perspective on familiar themes.
Pleasantly offbeat

William Hope's modes of speech are superbly evocative; and should be award-winning if there is any justice. Just a brilliant listen.
