Disregard the price tag, use a credit
I'm not quite sure why this book is so expensive, but it is definitely worth a credit. It's beautifully written with an old-school narrative. The writer uses beautiful language and imagery to convey a story of survival and isolation in the most remote part of the world. Battling the elements and his own hallucinations, the story of Thomas Cave is a triumphant tale. The thing I liked the most was that he agreed to spend winter in the Arctic freeze over a bet. That was a nice touch. His daily routine and survival methods are fascinating. I also learned a lot about the whaling industry of old. This book is really well written, and the narrator's accent is an asset to the performance. Perfect to read on a rainy day with a hot cup of coffee.
