About this listen

“Magic exists, the system is calling, and my birthday is officially ruined.”

Sixteen-year-old Victoria Leighton thought her biggest problems were high school bullies, a hospital-bound father, and navigating the chaos of being a teenager. But when a mysterious blue screen interrupts her birthday, announcing she’s part of an ancient bloodline of hunters, her life takes a turn she never imagined.

In the world Victoria discovers, strength is defined by stats, power is unlocked by spells, and her destiny is linked to a long-forgotten Atlantean legacy. With a snarky pixie as her guide and a mission to protect her city from monsters, Victoria must learn to harness her newfound abilities before the barrier between dimensions collapses.

But being a sorceress isn’t as easy as it looks in the movies. Between juggling friendships, surviving high school, and battling creatures lurking in the shadows, Victoria has to uncover the truth about her lineage—and herself. Will she rise to the challenge or crumble under the weight of a destiny she never asked for?

Fans of The Mortal Instruments, Percy Jackson, and The Gamer will love this action-packed, emotionally charged urban fantasy adventure.

Fantastic finish

Smart and Interesting main character, knows she can’t do it all, snarky system. But still feels casual. The familial relationship between brother and sister is a good dynamic. Strong themes of family, and trust me don’t want to be a family problem
