About this listen

You were born to lead. Now it's time to become a leader.

Leaders may be found in boardrooms, but they may also be found in families, schools, and organizations of all kinds—anywhere people interact, nurture, create, or build. Contrary to popular opinion, leadership is not meant for an elite group of people who, by fate or accident, become leaders while everyone else is consigned to being a lifelong follower.

After personally training thousands of leaders from around the world, best-selling author Dr. Myles Munroe reports that while every person possesses the potential of leadership, many do not understand how to cultivate the leadership nature and how to apply it to their lives. In The Spirit of Leadership, Dr. Munroe defines the unique attitudes that all effective leaders exhibit, explains how to eliminate hindrances to your leadership abilities, and helps you to fulfill your particular calling in life.

Very good book about leadership, read again

I loved this book so much. The narration is superb I really love the narrator, also the content is extremely good.

The author gives here 2 great principles about leadership that I did not hear anywhere else:

1. You are made from the substance of the creator GOD and his IMAGE, so you have inherently the ability of leadership, you are a leader, you just forgot/dont know about it. He gives a story of lion who was lost and was raised as a sheep. He gives the illustration that the product's quality is decided upon the material you use to create the product. Because your material is GOD spirit, it means that you already have superb leadership quality already existence in you.

2. To be a leader is defined by having followers. He gives the example of the two followers of Jesus that desire to be leaders, and Jesus not say that they shouldn't be leaders. Jesus also said that he who wants to lead must SERVE. This CONCEPT that for you to be a leader you need to SERVE the people you lead somehow is a new concept of leadership. He really shows a new perspective how Jesus by serving his followers and giving them knowledge and power, they left all their old life and started follow him. THIS IS A NEW TYPE OF THINKING I WAS NOT THINKING BEFORE.

3. He also says that leaders CREATE TRAILS, they don't walk in already-made trails.

4. He gives an example of a small person who holds a gun over a large person, and the large person obeys and the small person have dominion over the large person. The small person FEEL the sense of POWER, and he never forgets it, and he then does everything he can to regain this sense of power. This goes back that we should naturally be in a position of power and dominion over the earth. This is what God created us to do. This goes back to me theory about manifestation that you must FEEL how to be a leader, for you to integrate it into your self.

5. From number 4 I conclude that if you truly want to create new leaders, you must give them the experience to command other people and they obey the new leader so he feels how leadership feels, and then he knows he is a leader (he knows he is a lion, since he roars, and he use this story).

6. If you want to integrate leadership into your SELF, you must FEEL how it is to be a powerful leader. This goes back to the idea that feeling is the secret. And also to the first illusion of omnipotence of a new born child. If the child will feel he is a leader, he sees himself as a leader for life.

The story of God

Thank you for this wonderful lesson on the purpose of the Bible and the clarification of the gospel of Jesus. The world has misunderstood and misinterpreted the word of God and turned it into a story about death. Your message and teachings live on, thank you for your gift.

Amazing Roadmap to Becoming a Leader!!

This is a great work from Dr Munroe. He masterfully and practically provides a roadmap for everyone from the one who thinks they’re not a leader to the one who is currently serving in a senior leadership role to develop into the leader God intended them to be from the beginning. I love how he separates a believer’s salvation from their conversion.

Grateful for the knowledge.

Very thoroughly explained. Leadership is so attainable for everyone that desires it. Jesus is the greatest example of what leadership should look like.
