About this listen

If a Squatter Takes Over Your Home, do You Politely Give Up? Or do You Fight for What's Yours? Even if it's a Fight to the Death!

When a thrice married crime writer notices his wife is unhappy due to the time he devotes to his work, he decides to spend the summer with her on a family-owned island on the Hudson River. The only problem is that some Mexican Cartel connected squatters has taken over the island for their drug-running operation. The writer and his wife might think twice about challenging the deadly gangsters. But the unlikely duo is not about to give up on what's theirs without a fight.

It's a fight to the death, Alamo style, in this brand-new pulse-pounding thriller from New York Times and USA Today bestselling Thriller and Shamus Award winning author Vincent Zandri. For fans of Don Winslow, Charlie Houston, Michael Connelly, and more.

virtual voice is still flat and hard to listen to. The story itself was bull shoot aimed at a vigilante mentality

what a waste of time

I am not a real fan of this book. It seems like Mr. Zandri wrote it to make a point about squatters - something has to be done about the laws regarding them or homeowners should do something about it themselves. That is what happens in this book. I did not think this book was as good as Mr. Zandri's other books. It seems as though it was written by a young, inexperienced writer. Also, it seems like it was penned pretty quickly. The phrases and sentences all seem to come from someone new to writing. I can't recommend it unless you are like me, determined to read everything an author writes just because his (or her) name is on the book. The point of this book: a homeowner has a right to determine when or how long he will live in his own house and no one should be able to change that and the law should not work against that.

I will never listen to an AI generated voice again. Absolutely horrible. No inflection in the voice. One monotone voice for every character so that's it was read verbatim with all of the he said, she said, I said parts. The story wasn't even believable. Terrible.

Wrist narration ever!
