About this listen
The Story of "Mormonism" by James E. Talmage of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles is a collection of lectures delivered by Dr. James E. Talmage at the University of Michigan, Cornell University, and elsewhere.
The "Story" first appeared in print as a lecture report in the Improvement Era, and was afterward issued as a booklet from the office of the Millennial Star, Liverpool. In 1910 it was issued in a revised form by the Bureau of Information at Salt Lake City, in which edition the lecture style of direct address was changed to the ordinary form of essay. The present or third American edition has been revised and amplified by the author.
The "Story" has been published abroad and translated into Swedish, Modern Greek, and Russian. The second section of this publication, titled The Philosophy of "Mormonism" was first presented as a lecture delivered by Dr. Talmage before the Philosophical Society of Denver. It appeared later in the columns of the Improvement Era, and translations have been published in pamphlet form in the Danish and German languages. The present publication of these two productions is made in response to a steady demand.

As president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and Utah’s first territorial governor, Brigham Young (1801-77) shaped a religion, a migration, and the American West. He led the Saints to Utah, guided the establishment of 350 settlements, and inspired the Mormons as they weathered unimaginable trials and hardships. In this new biography, historian Thomas G. Alexander draws on a lifetime of research to provide an evenhanded view of Young and his leadership.

Story
Born After Midnight stirs us toward renewal. Be it in the realm of money, worship, worry, or prayer, A. W. Tozer applies God's high wisdom to our everyday living to show sin bitter and Christ sweet, helping us crave heaven and lose our taste for the world. If you will take God for who he says he is, trust his promises as true, and forsake the world in clutching for heaven, it will cost you everything. But it will give you eternity. Born After Midnight invites you to seek what cannot be lost.

Story
Crucifixion, the Romans believed, was the worst fate imaginable, a punishment reserved for slaves. How astonishing it was, then, that people should have come to believe that one particular victim of crucifixion - an obscure provincial by the name of Jesus - was to be worshipped as a god. Dominion explores the implications of this shocking conviction as they have reverberated throughout history.

Story
What is meant by the "Great Tribulation?" Will the church endure the tribulation? Is the rapture a tenable belief? H.A. Ironside contrasts the judgment of God with salvation to determine the basis for the events of the future. He introduces biblical prophecy, connects to historical events, and offers an exhaustive biblical survey of the Great Tribulation. Most importantly, Ironside explains that the Great Tribulation differs from God's wrath or fury. Ultimately God’s judgment and wrath - and the events of the tribulation - are overcome by salvation and love.

Who is Satan? Is he real? How did he become the devil? What is he doing now, and how does he work? What is his ultimate end? This fascinating book describes what God reveals about the archenemy of God and of all believers. Using the Bible, Arthur W. Pink lays out, in an engaging and approachable way, who Satan is, and the “gospel” he uses in his many attempts to confuse and confound the ongoing work of our Lord. This short book is especially relevant to our day, as what Pink saw in “the bud” is now in full bloom and producing much evil fruit.

This classic text gives a broad overview of the early Christian church, how it was formed, and how it dealt with the Roman empire, which was at first hostile to Christianity, and then under Constantine the Great how it came to embrace the new faith. The author, George Hodges, also examines the many heresies that beset the church from within, and the various figures that would defend the correct definition of the faith.
