About this listen

All hell has broken loose, and the McPhearson clan is right in the middle of the chaos. After finding out their beloved foster mother, Claudette McPhearson, was anything but the sweet old woman they thought her to be, Javon, Shanelle, and the rest of their siblings hit the ground running in order to keep the Syndicate operating and to keep themselves alive. That also means they have to lose some of the people they love the most.

With the legacy of their mother and her plans for them in motion, the McPhearson children are operating on a broken foundation. Attacked on all fronts, Javon and Shanelle are struggling to keep the family normal while following the criminal plans of their dead mother. The Syndicate is growing, and Javon is determined to bring in new blood while looking for those who killed Claudette. Not to mention something odd is going on with all of his siblings that threatens to rock the family to the core. Will the McPhearson clan fall in order for the Syndicate to rise, or will the truth end the legacy before it can even begin?

Riveting and nail biting

Where does The Syndicate 2 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

The McPherson family of children adopted by what they originally assumed was just a loving and caring mother turned out to be the head of a deadly Syndicate proved to be all in for family with the exception of the traitor in the ranks. They had been sheltered in one sense from the environment Mama McPherson took them out of but later learn she had a method to her madness. There were some shockers in this second installment of the Syndicate however one thing that was not a shock to me was who the betrayer of Mama McPherson was. I enjoyed the first one so much that I had to get this one to just to see how these McPherson children came out of the myriad of attacks that were coming at them following their mother's demise. Excellent story line and the characters were off the chain!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Chantal because she kept it 100 all throughout both installments. Close behind her was her man LaShon. who took to his position as head of the family like a fish takes to water.

Which scene was your favorite?

When they realized that Cory and Ines were alive and Cory took out the traitor of the family.

If you could take any character from The Syndicate 2 out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Lashon.

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed all of the characters of this story and realized while listening just how shrewd Mama McPherson was and just how deep her connections ran. When the first one opened with her taking out her would be assassins and the way she did it, made me wish we could have seen more of her in action.

Good…

I’m all about my urban fiction.. a bit far fetched but otherwise a good read.. How they managed to bop around the world with the enormous numbers of security (40?) was truly pushing it. Lol.
