About this listen

Kieran Hart has just gone through a divorce and is starting over with a new job at a DNA discovery site. After finding out she’s adopted years earlier, she sends in her sample, hoping to find her birth parents. Instead, she finds herself in a police station being accused of a crime she didn’t commit because her DNA was a match to a homicide.

Only, it’s not Kieran’s DNA. It’s her identical twin sister’s DNA. The sister she never knew she had.

Carina Whitlock is the top ADA in her office and is on her way to becoming the next district attorney when she is handed the case of Marin May, Kieran’s twin sister. It seems like a fairly open-and-shut case, until she spends time with Kieran and finds herself not only believing that Marin might not have committed the crime, but also that Kieran might be more than someone she’s supposed to know through a case.

All the evidence points to Marin being the killer—and maybe much more than just that—but Kieran can’t stop trying to help her sister while becoming friends—and maybe more—with the ADA assigned to prosecute the case.

I loved how this book concluded the series. It was so rewarding to see the friendships development and cases resolved. I truly have no complaints. Listening to the entire series on audio introduced me to a new favorite narrator—Blair Baker. Nicole Pyland did an amazing job crafting these stories, and Blair Baker brought the characters to life in such a powerful way.

This was an amazing series

It kept you guessing and entertained, from start to finish. Narration was really good too. I would give this book two thumbs 👍🏾 up

Interesting, fun, mysterious

I hate that Kieran who is supposedly smart is connecting with the ADA who is prosecuting her sister is so ridiculous and irritating. No effort to try and find another killer just because it is easy. The Detective - Dillan does not do her job to find the real killer and supports Carina ‘dating’ or developing a friendship with the sister of the woman she is prosecuting- is there one professional or ethical person in this circle of friends in this system- I kept fast forwarding through the seriously reckless discussions and actions- in the end I don’t know how much I will have heard/ read

Foundation of this relationship is so unethical and unprofessional
