About this listen
Nobel Prize winner Dr Elizabeth Blackburn and leading health psychologist Dr Elissa Epel have discovered biological markers called telomeres, which can help us to understand how healthy our cells are and what we can do to improve them.
The Telomere Effect looks at ideas including how biological age is not chronological age, a biological basis for the mind-body connection and how sleep and diet can affect telomeres. It also offers tools and advice on how to determine cellular age and telomere health.

this book is a must-read for anyone over 40
it's a great book that reveals the secrets of keeping yourself biologically young and healthy that are only known to very few in the scientific community. so what it does very well is it puts all the scientific information in very easy to understand language and serves you on a platter. I was literally amazed at some of the latest Discoveries that have been made in the field of anti-aging but for some reason haven't hit the headlines yet

Good info, would not recommend audiobook format too much though
The info itself is good; parts of the book are not the best in audiobook format - e.g. the various questionnaires where you have to total up your points, also URLs being spelled out.

Thinking Telomeres as a way of living
This book presents a rather complex topic, in a simple to comprehend manner. It provides a variety of examples that are science based to support the understanding of the research.
It sure being showed that the findings are not only a matter of theory, but it is rather a life time task that involves real passion - to give the world an optimistic game changer to deal with some of the threatening modern life hazards...

The most basic book you could've find
The first two chapters or so were great. Learning about telomeres was a breath of fresh air, but the programm was the most unimaginative basic thing I've read in a long time. If you're not a fan of new agey meditation-cures-all attitude and/or touchy-feely psychology, the book will leave you unimpressed. The book is full of goofy stories, that made me cringe at loud. Will be definetely returning this one.
