About this listen

Pure Christmas magic in the enchanting world of the Treebobs. When Father Christmas arrives to begin his journey across the world on Christmas Eve, Rotten Rena the wicked witch is waiting for a present and she is not at all pleased when she does not get one. In true Rotten Rena style she casts one of her wicked spells to ruin Christmas for the World.

However the Treebob Queen with the very best of the Treebob air force, the "Royal Air Bobs", use the pure magic of Christmas to make sure that Father Christmas does indeed get to fly his sleigh that Christmas eve.

Three cheers for the Royal Air Bobs

Where does The Treebobs Save Christmas rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

probably the favourite,it manages to tell a great christmas story but isnt too sugary sweet , a salutory tale for any naughty young person with the naughty witches not getting anything !

What did you like best about this story?

the imagery of the reindeer made from sycamore leaves and twigs i'd love one for my porch ....merchandise please !
As far as the children are concerned it has all the essentials of a christmas story but is exciting , ...will Rena really spoil christmas, what will father christmas do? how can the treebobs help? and then the arrival of the ultimate christmas fairy in the Treebob Queen

What about Lindsay Abbott and Anthony Richardson ’s performance did you like?

Lindsay Abbott is again brilliant and Anthony Richardson is immediately recognisable as Father Christmas but without being a cliche

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Well as an adult I laughed out loud at the arrival of the Royal Air Bobs ( I go to an airshow every year and I think we are all hoping to see them there next year instead of the Red Arrows) we were all worried when the reindeer got poorly but uplifted and happy once the fairy queen arrived ....phew !

Any additional comments?

time for merchandise surely .....a Treebob, a Royal air bob , a reindeer at least ....its becoming a whole world to exist in for small children

The Perfect "Feel good" story for Christmas

If you could sum up The Treebobs Save Christmas in three words, what would they be?

Enchanting, Morally educational

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book made us laugh and want to hear more

Any additional comments?

This is the perfect book for Christmas. We like tales that have a moral feel to them. It was humorous and enchanting. The children were attentive throughout and want to hear more stories about the people in the forest.

Welcome Back Christmas Magic

What did you love best about The Treebobs Save Christmas?

Simply everything from the grumpy but outrageous witch Rotten Rena to the mysterious sounding Treebob Queen and that song she sings -- sheer Christmas magic.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Treebobs Save Christmas?

The song that the Treebobs Queen sings when she is working her good spell with Bindweed Belle 5 kids here all entranced!

Which scene was your favorite?

Well the ones that made me laugh were with Rotten Rena when a bauble hits her and when she finds out she isn't in for a pressie off Santa and starts casting wicked spells -- she is too funny!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Give the wicked witch a present

Any additional comments?

Loved the characters of the Royal Air Bobs and the detail on the illustration of RAB on the hats which my youngest spotted -- very good and different from the usual christmas stories my children just love that potty witch!
