Average

The Ultimate Serial Killer Collection: True Crime Stories and Biographies of Ted Bundy and more
: Charles Clark

I can't say how accurate the "facts" are in this book. They are presented in short recaps of each serial killers crimes. Other authors have done this in a more informative manner. These range widely in time and location.

The narration was well OK, Merrick Pearce worked with what was presented.

It was Okay

I love true crime, and when I was offered a free copy of this book, I jumped at the chance. I was sad though to hear just how much information provided in this collection was inaccurate or was only given in a brief recap. I had hoped the information for each serial killer would be covered in much more depth.

Also, the sentences were written in a choppy manner, and there were a lot of uses of “however” at the beginning of sentences. Even with my doubts, I listened to about half of the book, but I couldn’t complete it.

Narration was well-done, but I think the book could use a bit of editing.

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Inaccurate Information

I have studied the information related to this book for many years and there is too much inaccurate Information here. This book seems to be a mix between fact and fiction. The distortion of facts involving supposed abuse of Bundy as a child (totally false), attempts to blame abuse for his deviant behaviors. Those of us who study this case know it was pornography, not any kind of abuse, that most influenced his fate.

God-awful

This book was terrible. Writing was substandard. However, climax, and consummated were used too often.

Inaccurate information and a poor writer.

The author of this book uses the word "however" to begin almost every sentence in this entire book. He is far from professional, and is an immature writer. There are SEVERAL misrepresentations and flat out lies in this book.

There are Better Books Out There

I had high hopes for this book. I love true crime stories and this one had such potential. I don't know just how much of the information is inaccurate but I do some of it is which makes me wonder if there's any truth at all. I also wasn't impressed with the writing. There's no reason to start so many sentences with however. The narration was well done by Merrick Pearce. Sadly he did the best he could with the material he was given. If you are looking for well written true crime books then I suggest you checking out Jack Rosewood or Ryan Green.
