"The Venice Experiment" is more than a memoir; it’s a testament to the beauty of embracing change and finding joy in the unexpected. After taking a big adventure move to Italy from New York a year ago (in 2023), in this audible, I found familiar stories comical and refreshing. It’s a MUST-READ or LISTEN, for anyone who dreams of Italy or seeks inspiration for their own adventures abroad! I highly recommend this audible book by Barry Frangipane!! ☆☆☆☆☆

This was a pleasant enough story, though I was aware of many inconsistencies. What was just about unbearable was the use of AI for narration. I almost stopped listening to it because of this. The expression was robotic and often wrong. The Italian language, one of the most beautiful in the world, was butchered. Had I paid for the book, I would have returned it. Audible should be ashamed.

Horrible narration, just horrible.

I prefer a real narrator, especially for foreign language words, character voices, and true intonation.
