It is designed to be a a rich day by day account of the events, actions, comments, decisions with descriptions covering the period from after World War II in 1945 until late 1989. A period of 44 years. It can be read easily and as a reference ( 90 pages ) At the end are several tables of ALL notable battles with dates and descriptions. The Vietnam War military conflict that was fought in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia from 1950. In many respects this war was also fought from Washington DC. American military advisors arrived in what was then French Indochina beginning in 1950. U.S. further involvement escalated in the early 1960s, with troop levels tripling in 1961 and tripling again in 1962 and fighting continued until its peak in 1968 and final defeat in to the fall of Saigon on April 1975. Dedicated to all those who served.  To 58,174 Americans who died.  To the more than 300,000 Americans who were wounded.  To the more that 2,590,000 Americans served.  More than 49,000 Australian troops who served – 521 were killed.  New Zealand's contributed 4,000 personnel. 37 were killed  The Republic of Korea sent over 300,000 servicemen.  To more than 30,000 Canadians who served in the US armed forces; 110 died.  Although exact numbers are difficult to ascertain, it is safe to say that several million people served in the South Vietnamese armed forces.  ALL who served honorably are HEROES.
