When Chloe Hawthorne is asked to chaperone her cousin during the London Season, it is with a heavy heart that she departs her home and family in Essex. Though she has been widowed for more than a year, she has yet to move on, and is loathe to do so. But when she meets her cousin's fiancee, Lord Andrew Wetherby, she must choose between honoring her cousin's impending marriage and following her heart.
Andrew Wetherby has chosen the perfect bride. She is well bred and beautiful - what more could the second son of a marquess ask for? However, when Lady Elizabeth's new chaperone arrives on the scene, he knows he's made a mistake of monumental proportions. The young widow with the russet curls captures his undivided attention, but as a gentleman, there is little he can do about it. Or is there?

"The Wary Widow" is a cute story, but painful to listen to.
This was my first Jerrica Knight-Catania book. I always feel bad when a talented author's book is ruined by the narrator. I hated to fast forward parts of the book, but that's the only way I could get through it.
It's too bad her other books in this series are read by the same person. Sherill Turner has a high pitched voice and I had to adjust my volume several times. She tries to change voices for the different characters, but without much success.
I can't recommend it.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
The story is good and fun. Really liked it when I read the book. The twin switching places was fun.It always bug my mind how and who chooses the narrator. This one is really , really BAD. We were lucky the book (story) lets us know who is talking cause she doesn't do voices at all.
She keeps the same intonation all through the narration. There is NO difference between male and female voices.
Good Story- Very Bad Narrator
