About this listen

In this updated version of the 2000 book about the sightings over Washington, D.C. in 1952, The Washington Nationals examines the case in depth, adding additional commentary, witness interviews, and new information. The sightings took place on two consecutive Saturdays at what is now the Ronald Reagan National Airport. It involved multiple radar confirmation, reports from pilots, both military and civilian, and attempted intercepts by fighters. Although dismissed officially as nothing more than a temperature inversion, those involved, including the radar operators, airline, and fighter pilots, dispute those conclusions. This examination of the event, along with sightings from other parts of the country and the situations that developed from the presidential interest in UFOs, is one of the most comprehensive studies of that segment of UFO history.

About the author:
Kevin Randle is a prominent ufologist. Within the UFO community, he is often regarded as one of the preeminent experts on the reported crash of a UFO near Roswell, New Mexico in July 1947. He is a professional best-selling author with over 100 books to his name. He has a Ph.D. in psychology, and was in the United States Air Force and the National Guard, where he held the rank of Lieutenant Colonel before retiring in 2009.
