After two decades of separation, Manu and Elder Taylor are reunited on the beautiful island of Moloka‘i. As you visit the sacred places of Hālawa Valley, Kapuaiwa Royal Coconut Grove, and Kamakou rain forest, you’ll learn truths about Aloha, slowing down, guardian angels, simplicity, and connecting with your creator. At locations throughout the leper colony of Kalaupapa, you’ll be taught how to minister like the lord Jesus Christ. This book will transport you to a tropical paradise to be touched by the light and love that radiates from the people and places of Moloka‘i.

Many Gospel Truths

A Christ centered life. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall all things be established. In Jerusalem, in the Americas and in the Islands of the sea.
Looking forward to the balance of the books.
Loved it all

The sequel to Way of Aloha: Lania picks up 20 years later. Elder Taylor has come home, married and had children. He has published the first book and it has experienced success. At this point it is a little difficult to distinguish the author from the fictionalized version of himself but it doesn't really matter. In a short period of time he finds himself on a new Hawaiian Island and reunited with Manu for more lessons. This book is longer so the teachings have more space to breathe,
And we get quite a bit. More parables, stories and history of the Hawaiian people and some powerful insights into the gospel.
The story of the priest in the leper colony was especially impactful. I won't lie. I got choked up.
I am LDS but listened asking myself how more mainstream Christian would appreciate the teachings - and outside of a few references to the temple I again believe that Christians would be able to enjoy this book and the insights it offers immensely.
Benjamin Fife is back as narrator and adds another welcome addition to the cast. He goes a grew job embodying very different voices and making them authentic. In my last review I failed to mention he sings in both this and The Way of Aloha: Lanai. Each time he gives a stirring performance without sacrificing the ability to understand we what is being said.
I am looking forward to future volumes in this series.
