About this listen

It began with The Notebook . . .

After thirty years of marriage, Wilson is forced to face a painful truth. His wife, Jane, has fallen out of love with him.

Despite the shining example of his in-laws, Noah and Allie Calhoun (originally recounted in The Notebook), and their fifty-year love affair, Wilson is unable to express his true feelings. With his daughter about to marry, and his wife thinking about leaving him, Wilson knows it is time to act. He will do anything he can to save his marriage. With the memories of Noah and Allie's inspiring life together as his guide, he vows to make his wife fall in love with him . . . all over again.©2019 Nicholas Sparks (P)2019 Hachette Audio UK

When my own marriage is struggling due to my husband's busy job and tours, this book has brought lights on my dream. O really don't know whether a man can change, I cried when I get this hope.

I found the wife - Jane so unrelatable. She has unrealistic expectations of what a marriage should be like. She seems ungrateful for what her husband provided. - expecting him to carry the financial burden, and not realising that he will have to sacrifice time with family in order to provide them with what they need. she expects elaborate romantic gestures, without making an effort herself. completely selfish. Shallow, narcissistic character. The endless wedding planning was also dull and boring. 8 houres of bride-zilla talk. I loved the notebook, and Safe haven. Doesn't seem like the same writer. Very disappointing.
