About this listen

In the picturesque coastal town of Sunrise Harbor, Maine, where salty ocean breezes mingle with the scent of freshly caught lobsters, a chilling mystery unfolds.

When a supposedly idyllic lobstering cruise takes an unexpected turn, steamy romance author, baker and amateur sleuth, Tabitha Clive, finds herself accused of murdering her husband’s former sister-in-law, Ethel Brownville.

As whispers of her guilt spread through the town, Tabitha's closest friends refuse to let her face the weight of false accusations alone.

In The Women Sleuths Club Murder, a vibrant group of “mature” amateur sleuths band together to unravel a perplexing crime and clear their dear friend's name.

Determined to prove her innocence…
Sara Mitchell, a retired schoolteacher, turned children’s book author.
Kathleen O’Brien, a retired medical examiner.
Pam Bigelow, a former social worker, turned cozy mystery author.
Alice Underwood, a former CEO of a major department store chain who possesses supernatural powers.
Claire Gaylord, Kathleen’s no-nonsense stepdaughter and respected criminal defense lawyer.
… rally together, using their unique skills to untangle the web of lies that has ensnared their feisty friend.

The women's sleuths club murder

The story was mediocre. I really don't like virtual voice. The meaning of the words are misconstrued. I will not try another one.

Fun easy read

Enjoyed this book and all the shorts in the Tabith Clive series. I hope there are more.

Virtual voice 👎

I didn’t enjoy the artificial reader. The story was pretty meh. The virtual voice did nothing for the story.

It's a period I like reading about.

The narration was fine and I only twice noticed the A/I quality of the computer-generated voice.

Reading

Narrator read word for word without a sense of reality. Glad it was a short story.

Couldn’t get through it

The narration of this story was awful. The narrators voice was flat and seemed to drone on and on. The storyline was uninteresting.
