Publisher's summary

Will Pandora and her World Alliance rule from Atlantis, under the sea...until the world above no longer breathes?

The much awaited sequel to the highly acclaimed dystopian fantasy novel, Wham! is here.

"Zipping from the gorgeously enchanting to the darkly terrifying, Then... is dystopian fantasy at its finest. And it's even better than book one." (Stuart Kenyon, author of the Subnormal series and Swiftly Sharpens the Fang)

While the underground frantically works to mount a resistance against Pandora and the World Alliance, the potentate’s evil grows.

She stages withering chemical attacks wherever the underground may survive. She passes more laws to hamper their movements.

And new inventions to control their minds.

And as Nia grows heavy with the potentate's child, her desperation to escape before the birth turns to panic.

Get ready for hours of entertainment, from the busy pens of Carol Marrs Phipps and Tom Phipps.

Remarkable follow up

THEN is the follow up to WHAM, the first book in this series, where good v evil is again on display with enjoyable characters. Will Tess be successful against the despot queen or is the queen too strong? Again, the plot and world building are strengths, which is necessary for me to continue in a series and the drama is tightly written, some of which is dark, but that's another strength. For those who are strictly drawn to character driven works, this is for you as well. Strong, intense writing.

Just Wow!

“Then...” is the second audiobook in the series that I’ve had the pleasure of listening to, and I have to say that it’s just as amazing or maybe even more so than the first. The character and world building from the first book, “Wham,” are continued in this story, but are ramped up with even more action. With the aboveground Earth made toxic by the greed of others, the Greenwood family is split apart and have to cope with matters both above and belowground. Humans, trolls, elves, fairies, sorcerers and witches are among the cast of characters, both good and bad. It’s mind-boggling, really, how the authors can take a multi-genre dystopian, time travel, fantasy, adventure, drama, love story and fold in a believable storyline and make it all work, but they do so extremely well. And the narrator’s tone and use of different voices for the characters really brings this story to life. I loved “Then...” and can’t wait for the next installment!

no.

absolutely detest this narrator, no vocal range or accent variation. the world building seems to have improved marginally since book one however still weak and not well displayed. the characters arent well fleshed out and the interactions inorganic. uphill slog to finish this book.
