About this listen
Did you know the United States would be completely different without Theodore Roosevelt? There wouldn't be a Food and Drug Administration (FDA), National Parks wouldn't be preserved, and the Panama Canal wouldn't exist. He was the youngest to serve as President (at age 42) and the first President to achieve a Nobel Peace Prize. He pioneered government regulation of corporations, supporting reforms that led to reduced working hours and improved working conditions for laborers. He also worked to reduce government corruption, transforming a nation plagued by nepotism into one that increasingly favored a merit-based system. He was a writer, athlete, naturalist, politician, lover, soldier, leader, and truly a good person.
From the Author: "As a huge Teddy Roosevelt fan, I couldn't find a book about him that captured his essence in a concise yet entertaining manner. The available books were either meant for younger audiences or overwhelmed with detail, some exceeding hundreds or even thousands of pages. I wanted to design a book that's beautiful both illustratively and textually, rich in detail yet concise, and fully encompassing of Teddy's life. I couldn't find these aspects in other books on the market, so I decided to write my own. I've gone through many iterations of this current book and continually update it based on fresh feedback. There's a reason why Teddy is one of the faces on Mount Rushmore: his values and actions are unmatched by any prominent figure today. You should read this book to understand the full picture; you won't regret it."
This book contains Theodore Roosevelt's entire life, from birth to death and beyond.
