It had great potenial
This book is a young adult book, and that is very evident. It is a little immature writing, which is fine for the genre, but you need to go into the book understanding its more for a teenage audience. The story had so much potential but was a little bit of a let down. I feel like this author just wanted to write a book with a max number of pages and didnt want to exceed that. The main character is a little unlikable at first but is developed well and turns into a very smart and brave girl. My problem with this book is it starts of very slow, but then everything happens all at once and its hard to keep up. It could have done a lot with the time travel, but the main point of the story was to get to the girls father, leaving no time for interesting time travel. I would love for her to write another book where she can dive deeper into the concept of the threadwalking. Now the narration. She is great! The narration was very well done and i loved the voices! with any narration there needs to be multiple voices to keep the readers attention and to make it easier to know who is speaking, and this narrator did just that! The pace was great and the voice was perfect for the type of character, a nice young clear voice. I will purposely seek out more books by this narrator and think her voice made this book better. I, not a young adult genre person, but i was able to listen to this book and enjoy it mainly because of the narration. Yes, the story has to be there, but the narration makes or breaks the book, and it definitely made it here.

Enjoyed This One
I really liked the story, there were some likeable and interesting characters. Felt some pangs of nostalgia for my teenage years, and I found the main character to be very relatable. Performance was great -- a nice and easy listen while I worked at my desk. The reader did a great job. I recommend this book.

Ranks in my top 2 worst audible books!
The story plot is good enough with a common plot cliché that I did expect. Joanna's writing is sophomoric at best, with the constant, "he said, she said". The 16 year old protagonist, acting like she is a clueless 7 year old, is somewhat annoying. The narrator is defiantly a name I will look for and avoid at all costs. Amie's sing song accent and character interpretations are some of the most discommoding and obnoxious narration I have listen to. Over all this story is absurd, simply for the sake of trying to have originality.
