About this listen

Damn, the man has the body of a god. Like a real-life statue of David or something. It’s unfair that someone so annoying looks so delicious.

Keane and I have been enemies since childhood. He thinks I’m a Goody Two-shoes and I think he’s an arrogant a$$hole. Years later nothing’s changed except the fact that we’re cohabitating in the same apartment along with his sister, who’s also my best friend. Even though I’m fighting like hell to keep the city from tearing down the building he wants to replace with a new restaurant, we somehow find ourselves doing the horizontal mambo.

Maybe it’s the magic of the letter I found in our ancient apartment that predicted I’m going to meet the man of my dreams. Or maybe it’s just hormones. But just when I start to buy into us as a couple, someone from his past shows up with a shocking secret that Keane’s adamant is untrue. Now I’m questioning if I can really trust the guy who told the entire football team in high school that I still slept with a stuffie at fifteen years old. In my experience, the answer is no.

Three’s A Crowd is a best friend’s older brother rom-com full of laughs and sexy times.

Much better than book 1

I liked this book. I especially liked the backstories of the couple being childhood frenemies and how their parents situations shaped them. They did seem to fall.a little easily though. This was not a stretch for the MMC since we heard his POV of his attraction for her since they were teens but there was no reflection on her side and that felt off. Still the romance is a proper one with much trepidation and gooey feelings. The obstacles were original making a pretty good arc. But I had problems with the lack of research done on prison sentences in MA (book was not accurate or reasonable) and pregnancy. / current paternity testing. Finally I was super disappointed in the ending. I felt the FMC really let down the MMC with her selfishness. And we have no followup to what happened to the new restaurant. That is why only 4 stars for story. Narration still not great but passable.

Engaging RomCom!

This is the 3rd book I’ve read by Everly Ashton, and I’ve enjoyed each one. Engaging story with interesting characters…lighthearted and fun read. I like the interconnectedness among the stories in this series. Good narration!

disappointed

Not a favorite. Interwoven social issues override story. Not sure if Romance at all or social commentary.

Delightful story

Enjoyed the love, hate, love relationship between Keane and Fiona. When changing characters, the narrator drew out some of the words to long. For me, it came across as whining. But, I did enjoy the story.

Aww

Enemies to lovers and forced proximity combined into a lovely little romance story.

Keen has been attracted to Fiona for a long time since Fi is his sisters best friend. And they constantly pick on each other and “hate” each other until Keen temporarily moves into their apartment.

They have a mutual interest in a building: Keen wants to tear it down for a business and Fiona wants to save the building due to its history.

They also have to hide their relationship for a short period of time, buts it’s all ends well.

It was a cute story. Narration was great.
