About this listen

Tidebreaker’s Call (Book One of The Starweaver Academy series)
A destiny lost to the sea. A ship that whispers secrets. An empire rising from the depths.

Finn Tempest has spent his life in the quiet fishing village of Drift’s Edge, but the sea has always called to him. When he earns a place at the legendary Starweaver’s Academy, a training ground for the greatest sailors, warriors, and sea mages... he thinks he’s finally found his chance at adventure.

But fate has bigger plans.

During a grand ceremony in Havenmoor’s bustling harbor, The Tidebreaker, a sentient, mythical ship long thought lost rises from the mist. And it chooses Finn.

Now, he’s more than just an academy recruit, he’s the unwilling captain of a ship tied to an ancient war. As rival crews seek to take him down and whispers of ghostly warships haunt the horizon, Finn and his new crew must prove themselves in brutal sea trials, outmaneuver their enemies, and uncover the secrets buried in the deep.

Because something is awakening beneath the waves. An empire once drowned is ready to rise again. And The Tidebreaker may be the only thing standing in its way.

A ship that chooses it's Captain. A past that won't stay buried."

Perfect for fans of Percy Jackson, One Piece, and Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter. The Tidebreaker’s Call, launches an action-packed Young Adult fantasy series full of high-seas adventure, rivalries, and the magic of the ocean.

Set sail now... before the Abyss swallows everything.

I always enjoy adventure and fantasy stories, especially those out at sea. We follow the main character, Finn, who goes on the hero’s journey - from his small, humble beginning as he progresses through Starweavers Academy to become the captain of a legendary mythical ship who has to battle warships and the brutal sea. It’s a fun read with lots of action and an exciting world for young readers.

Decent detail but the best part of this book is the amazin narration as they didnt cheapen out on narrator. Most people have one narrator and sometime that narrator have to play many voice which is a turn off especially when they use a male to do a female voice, sound a litlte gross. This book use multiple voice for all the character which keep it very interesting and fun to listen to.

Really loved the vibe of sea magic, mysterious ships, and ancient secrets coming back to life. Finn is a relatable main character, kinda unsure at first but grows on you quick. The Starweaver Academy thing kinda gave me some Harry Potter meets pirates vibes, which I liked. The pacing was fast and kept me listening, Can’t wait for book two.
