About this listen
Fantastic! Fun-tastic! Fawn-tastic!
The Adventures of Fawn is not just an exciting, award-winning coming-of-age series, it's also a quality introduction to novels for children who have graduated beyond the Diary of a Wimpy Kid level. And it's also great listening for any age group. The first installment 'Til the Last Snowflake Falls follows the exploits of Fawn, the daughter of legendary reindeer Comet and Vixen. The young reindeer spends far too many days alone in the stable at Santa's Village, with no friends and nothing to do. Typical of many youngsters, though her parents caution she's much too young, naive, and inexperienced to go exploring outside the village by herself, Fawn rebels.
Declaring, “I want some fun and excitement! I don’t care how dangerous it is!” she begins sneaking out each day in search of friends, excitement, and adventure. She'll find them all...but also find herself in dangerous situations she's unprepared for! Perhaps, a tad too late, Fawn will realize that mum and dad were right all along! And she'll learn some valuable lessons about what's really important in life. The Adventures of Fawn are filled with fun, laughs, excitement, and magical entertainment for listeners of all ages!
'Til the Last Snowflake Falls is on the recommended reading list with The US Book Review (2019), was awarded the Bronze Medal in Dan Poynter's 2017 Global E-book Awards, received an Honoree Medallion from indieB.R.A.G. Awards, a Reader's Favorite Five Star Award, One Stop Fiction Books' Five Star Award, Literary Titan's Silver Book Award, and many other accolades.

The kingdom of Cornucopia was once the happiest in the world. It had plenty of gold, a king with the finest moustache you could possibly imagine, and butchers, bakers, and cheesemongers whose exquisite foods made a person dance with delight when they ate them. Everything was perfect - except for the misty Marshlands to the north, which, according to legend, were home to the monstrous Ickabog. Anyone sensible knew that the Ickabog was just a myth to scare children into behaving. But the funny thing about myths is that sometimes they take on a life of their own.

Had Me From The Opening
4.5 out of 5 stars
I think that the biggest thing that jumps out while reading 'Til The Last Snowflake Falls is that Boy has such a vivid imagination and he's able to push that into his characters. You can really feel the connection that he has writing them and allowing them to just have these big bold ideas and thoughts. Each character that he builds is well thought out and has a purpose. No throw-away characters or meetings in his books (that I've noticed yet).
I can honestly say that before this book I'd never listened to an audiobook aimed directly at children. I've read some young adult ones but some of those have more sex and violence than the regular books I read. So, this was a pretty big change of pace for me. Speaking of change of pace, I noticed that a lot of the other reviewers of this read this as their first Boy title, whereas I read Little Girl Scream which is very much NOT a children's book. So, going from that fast-paced attention-grabbing thriller to this is a big change. Now, that's fine because Boy's writing style leans towards characters and scenes instead of specific things needed for either a regular thriller or a children's title.
In Snowflake, which is part of the "Adventures of Fawn" adventure, Fawn is the main character and is incredibly curious. As a character, Fawn was basically instantly likable. Right away I was drawn to Fawn and I knew that the book was going to be a good one. Liking a character that early usually leads to a book that's hard to put down. I was right there, even for a kid's book, this one was tough to put down. I ended up flying through it in a little under two days (started it on a Thursday and finished it before noon on Friday). I read it so fast and so thoroughly that I'm writing the review basically moments after finishing it.
Overall, I think that the combination in my head of Snowflake/Fawn and Little Girl Scream has me really enjoying Boy's work. He's an excellent writer and I can see why he's winning lots of accolades for his books. They're deserved.

A Captivating Story of Friendship, Love and Growth
Til the Last Snowflake Falls is a delightful adventure of Fawn, daughter to Comet and Vixen. Yes, that very same Comet and Vixen of Santa’s Village! As with most young ones, Fawn is easily bored and wants to have exciting and fun adventures. To do that, she must sneak out of Santa’s Village. Once outside she discovers new friends and new adventures await her. Those adventures include a deadly menace that quickly threatens her and her friends and family. If only she had listened to her mother and father!
Torn between obeying her parents and keeping her promises, Fawn struggles with the same choices all children struggle with daily. The connection between friends is strong and sometimes one must make unfavorable choices in order to save others. Boy accurately portrays the special bonds of friendship and love.
This is more than a coming of age story, it reflects the power of friendship and love. This is a book that children of all ages will find delightful and poignant. The author, Al E. Boy, captures the emotions, desires, and wants of children and young adults molding them into a witty and enjoyable story. The dialog was realistic as was the plot.
Boy develops each character adding to and strengthening the story. The plot twist at the end was well executed and creative.
This is one of those feel-good books that children and adults will want to hear time and again. It is a new and unique Christmas story that is good year-round!
The narrator, Pam Tsujioka, performs the audiobook in a calming, soothing young voice with just the right amount of emotion and infectious excitement. Her performance is highly skilled and enjoyable. I enjoyed her voices and the tone inflections she utilized; her performance made the book come to life.
Til the Last Snowflake Falls is a wonderful story of love, friendship, and courage.

Just beautiful
'Til the Last Snowflake Falls is the award-winning first novel in The Adventures of Fawn series of stories that can be enjoyed by children and parents alike. Author Al E. Boy expertly pulls us in what is to become the adventure of a lifetime for a young reindeer living with her family in Santa's Village.
Fawn is bored, Fawn wants to get out in the wild, Fawn does just that and gets into trouble, but learns some important lessons along the way.
Filled with vivid descriptions and perfectly expressing what could go through the minds of all sort of animals, 'Til the Last Snowflake Falls is a beautiful story about curiosity, friendship, discovery, nature and family. I instantly fell in love with Fawn and some of the other colorful characters that we meet in our young hero's journey.
The audiobook version of 'Til the Last Snowflake Falls is performed with enthusiasm and passion by Pam Tsujioka. She makes all the characters feel alive with credible voices and accents. Although she is a newcomer in the Audiobook Industry, she is just perfect for this magical and uplifting tale. She reads in a calm, soothing voice that became very endearing to me for the more than 7 hours of the audio production.
I highly recommend 'Til the Last Snowflake Falls to listeners of all ages, because it's a fantastic narrative experience, just perfect for a long drive in the family car or for a late night across a warm camp fire. I can't wait to get my hands on the next books in this very promising series and I'll be sure to write reviews for those as well.

This could be your new favorite holiday book!
'Til the Last Snowflake Falls by Al E. Boy is a wonderful story set at the North Pole. It covers the adventures of Fawn, the daughter of Comet and Vixen.
Pam Tsujioka is the narrator. It is a single narration reading. With just a hint of an accent, her voice lends magic to the story. Each character is modulated with enough difference to keep the conversations organized in my mind. There are distinct changes in tone and inflection. Ms. Tsujioka brings the text to life for the listener.
The pace suited me well. But, if you prefer a faster pace to your audiobooks, the story plays well at a slightly increased speed.
As for the tale itself, the characters are magical. Dr. Mary Weather has lost her Christmas spirit. With the help of Fawn, Snowboy, Bunny, and the others, that spirit is revived and thriving once more.
Captain Kemp and Higgins represent all that’s wrong with the world: greed, meanness, avarice, lies, and more. Santa, Wajik, Mary, and the animals work together to revive, Snowboy, as well as the flagging Christmas spirit.
I love the detailed explanations of how the magic of Santa's village works to bring joy to everyone. The author's experience helping "Santa" for 40 years lends itself to this creative endeavor.
Young readers that are ready for an introduction to more involved novels will love this book. There are lessons to learn and adventures to be experienced. They will begin to learn about actions and consequences in a fun, heart-warming, whimsical tale.
This book/audio would make an excellent bedtime story by reading/listening to a chapter or two each night. I highly recommend 'Til the Last Snowflake Falls to all parents, grandparents, daycares, and libraries.
I happily award this unique story 5 stars.
