About this listen
When I say my life as a corsair in the Consortium is exciting, I wouldn’t be exaggerating. When I say that my life as a devastatingly handsome, rakish and charming corsair is exciting… well, some of that might be an exaggeration—I’m really not that charming. But, breaking up smuggling rings, commandeering ill-gotten goods, protecting simple merchant vessels from the true pirates of the universe, that can really make a person feel like they're doing some good. So, when an incident with an aggressive species calls for drastic action, I risk my life to save my ship and crew—oh, did I forget to add that I’m courageous? I don’t like to brag, so I probably did forget.
Anywho; for all my… pluses, they add up to naught when I crash land on a restricted, backwater planet and meet one of its people… a human. A decidedly female human. Now, as you can imagine by my modest description of myself above, I usually do very well with the ladies of the galaxy. But this one… Addy… she is not like anyone from the Alliance planets. Besides nearly killing me—disclaimer, that might be a bit of an exaggeration—she is smart, kind, sincere, and so kiffing beautiful. Her offer to help me, a stranger from the stars, has me nearly speechless.
And when that same aggressive species threatens her life, well, you gotta know by now that I’m going to step in. Does the way I’m starting to feel about her play a factor in my decision? Absofrigginlutely it does!
