About this listen
Are shadows of a past fueled by hate becoming the dark echoes of his future?
WHAT ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO SEE? When a woman’s body is discovered posed in a grotesque tableau, DI Mike Stone knows he is not looking at a textbook crime of passion or circumstance.
HOW FAR WILL YOU HAVE TO GO? Everything about the scene says it is only the brutal beginning of a killer’s dark story about to stampede its way through the center of Birmingham.
WHAT IS WAITING FOR YOU AT THE END? DI Stone soon finds himself at the center of an investigation spiraling out of control, threatening to spill blood in his personal life.

Great Mystery
This is the first book I've listened to or read by this author. It's a well written mystery. The narrator does a fantastic job bringing the characters to life. Not to mention, I loved listening to his dreamy accent.

They just dont write like this anymore
Perfect Detective Story! This book had me flipping pages, literally as I listened I followed along in the book. TO DIE FOR is a treat for lovers of detective fiction loaded with action thriller and psychological behaviors that relate to todays world detectives and describes how one detective must uncover the truth while maintaining his own composure. I can only describe the the romp through the varied settings from start to finish as surreal with descriptive landscape he brings to reality . The author, Collin Ward, sets the plot drawing you in so you have to know how this story so much so that you may miss that this story has a pacing issue. Its not overly fast or slow just goes in spurts which is refreshing. It does come across a like Sherlocky with the main character but if you love a very cerebral main character this is the book for you. The novel is very detailed and very well narrated.

Gritty, Dark, Brutal and Captivating
I was given a free book on exchange for an unbiased review.
If you are faint of heart, this story is not for you. The killer is indeed merciless, psychotic and brutal. Watching the story unfold however was very captivating. Mr. Fox was a great narrator. Being an American, it did take me a chapter to get used to his accent, but he was marvelous.
I look forward to more stories from Colin Ward. His knowledge of detective techniques is amazing and in-depth. Very intriguing.
