About this listen

Jennifer Haymore’s steamy Highland Knights series begins with the tale of two estranged lovers who are reunited on one of history’s most notorious battlefields.

*This book was previously published under the title A Highlander's Heart, and is being reissued with a new cover and content changes.

The Warrior...
Sir Robert Campbell is a hero revered for his prowess as a leader and a soldier. He takes control of any troublesome situation... except when it involves the beautiful Englishwoman who stole his heart four years ago.

The Lady...
Lady Claire Campbell was smitten the moment she laid eyes on Rob. Who can resist a powerful Highland Warrior in a kilt? Especially one who has the rugged face of a god and can't take his eyes off you...

A year ago, tragedy tore Rob and Claire apart. Now, Rob is on the Continent fighting against Napoleon and the French. Desperate to heal what has broken between them, Claire follows him to Waterloo. But some wounds go deeper than the blows Rob receives on the battlefield. And some wounds can never be healed.

I feel like this story was a couple of chapters taken out of a full book. I didn't feel like there was a lot of depth or a lot of story going on. just a lot of fluff writing to describe a situation. surprisingly the AI narration was actually not bad. good accent the flow was decent and the fact that she didn't actually do masculine voices was surprisingly not bad for me and it still red. well, as far as the narrator goes, there was a few points once in awhile that you could hear the computer glitch. almost with a word, but if it wasn't really too noticeable, narration was really good. story could have been better.

The story was so blah
