LOVE ALWAYS BETRAYS

When love becomes an obsession, when love betrays; when a man's love leads to unspeakable sins.

When love becomes a possibility, when love shelters; when a man's love leads to frightening revelations.

Brit Delany struggles to emerge from the darkness after surviving a chilling ordeal. She is forced to come to grips with the secrets of her past. But how does she learn to trust herself? How does she trust anyone around her? How does she find the strength to accept one man's love while reeling from the destructive passion of another?

How does she prevent her deepest fears from derailing everything and keeping her from the man she wants? Because in Brit's world, love always betrays.

Tranquility is the conclusion of Entanglement. Lilly's stories are not intended/appropriate for listeners under 18 years of age. Be forewarned that the Turbulence Series addresses a range of traumatic issues, including child abuse and sexual assault.

Duet-style narration by Gary Furlong and Angelina Rocca. Produced by Blue Nose Audio.

It’s official, I hate Brit.

No. I don’t understand. Please enlighten me. She gets on my ever-loving last nerve. There’s angst, then there’s extreme childishness. I can’t believe that precious man chased that childish woman through both these books. Seriously—I’m on a book rampage. I detest her. Nearing the end, I was just rooting for him to send her back to her nomadic, homeless existence in the US and invite Evie into his home. Sheesh. How immature and self-centered can an adult woman be? What little she’s willing to invest simply isn’t worth his effort. I’m about to agree with the repulsive Dugan that she needs to let his son go before she destroys him. Just let her chase IED’s and dodge bullets with her faithful camera already. Give the stupid woman what she wants. Who wants a relationship with that kind of sadist? It’s so ironic to me that his epiphany is that he sees as a selfless act of love in her dark desire to chase a thrill and capture with the intent to exploit the most hopeless scenarios. Then why does she have such repulsion for the media who are interested in what Jasper did to her? Isn’t their morbid fascination the same as her supposed selfless act of love? She’s so hypocritical—and he’s just masochistic and self-sacrificial. This story was frustrating and unfulfilling all the way to the end. It was difficult to even root for her HEA—which is a good thing, since it was nonexistent. Ugg. I’m finished with this mess. After all this invested time, there’s still absolutely no resolution or satisfaction. Perhaps this will be a trilogy since so much was left unresolved. However, I don’t think I can handle another 13 hours of this. On the plus side, if you don’t mind weak lead females and narratives that stretch out for eternity, then this one would be a 5 star choice. It’s very well-written. The narrators are phenomenal, and I enjoy lengthy stories—as long as they move along. My major problem with this one is an unlikable lead female character who doesn’t make enough progress quickly enough, so her “issues” get old long before there’s any real resolution.

Brit is so ANNOYING

The only way I got through this was the amazing narrators. Brit is by far the most miserable and annoying FMC I have ever read. She didn’t deserve Sean.
