About this listen

Girlfriends defy the grave odds and grow into beautiful, smart, successful women, leaving behind buried childhood demons of abandonment and abuse. Although the close friends choose different paths in life, Joelle married with children, Kendra unrestricted and free, fate reunites them just in time to create their dream wellness center that changes their lives. Together they uncover secrets to success. Relying heavily on each other’s specific strengths and grit, they envision and manifest winning platforms, from signing high-profile clientele to attracting major sports teams.

All is well until they lose sight of what’s really important and are drawn back toward familiar evil and darkness. The stress of the newfound success exposes hidden mental illness and triggers jealousy and infighting. Addiction, adultery, revenge, and forbidden lust ensues, threatening to turn the dream of success into a hellish nightmare unless they confront suppressed memories and mend their fractured past.

The story line has a twist at the end and it really kept you trying to figure out what the underlying issues were for the characters. I love the way it was written and recommend it… a great story!!

"Triggered Aggression" was super exciting from the beginning till the end. The story went in surprising directions, and the ending twist totally surprised me. It made me wonder if I heard it right, which made the whole story even more thrilling.

Nestor, the narrator, was exceptional. He made different characters sound different and changed his voice to match them. His narration truly brought the story to life, making it an immersive and enjoyable experience.

This was a page turner. I never saw it coming. It all came together at the end. I could relate to some of the scenery, it was based on my hometown. Great story line, relevant for today. A must read!!!

Climatic ending

I was waiting for the reader's emotion to kick in and it didn't. His voice is so monotone. Maybe if the main characters were male he would have been able to get more into it. Toward the end he seem to get better and for this I gave 2 stars. Don't waste your money on this audible because I'm starting to think reading the book on my own may have been the best option (so sad I used one of my credits on this). As for the story, it was pretty good. It got interesting a little past the middle of the book. Like I said, the reader didn't help any, so maybe reading the book on its own would make it better. I mixed it up and I'm not interested enough to go back and try reading the book alone.

Bueller?? Bueller??
