Ryder, Garrett, Kenzo, and Diesel - The Vipers. Their deals are as sordid as their business, and their reputation is enough to bring a grown man to his knees, forcing him to beg for mercy. They are not people you mess with, yet my dad did. The old man ran up a debt with them and then sold me to cover his losses. Yes, sold me. They own me now. I’m theirs in every sense of the word. Obituary writer Nadine Barbault doesn’t mind being called “Lady Death”. It suits the ice queen persona she’s cultivated to survive the fast-paced Toronto Herald. So when Nadine learns that famous (and reclusive) author Dot Voline has died, she doesn’t hesitate to run the obituary…only to discover that Dot is very much alive. Nadine’s screw-up has brought Wesley Chen of the rival Spear no end of joy—she’s been a thorn in his extremely ambitious side for years. But the renewed interest in Dot also surfaced chatter about a mysterious past scandal.

Story
Hockey coach Ashley Jaswal doesn't take nonsense from anyone … except her overbearing and superstitious family. They believe she's a good luck charm for her brother Jas, the newest Vancouver Canucks draft pick, forcing Ash to attend all his games as he rises up the NHL ranks, sacrificing her personal life (not that she has one—who decided hockey season needed to be 10 months long anyway?). Ash also clashes with Jas’s teammate, Canucks captain Devin Snyder.

Good Story Line
This was a good story and the characters seemed real and unique. The narrator did a pretty good job.
Jace is a likable guy but uses the work "baby" a little too much. He has a lot of baggage from his past that has lead him to act the way he does. He has anger issues and is trying hard to keep things in place.
Zoe seems to be a great person that despite Jace's irrational behavior has a lot of patience with his insecurities & overwhelming behavior.
There is quite a bit of emotional baggage that also burdens Zoe. Despite all the odds, Zoe & Jace love each other and go through a lot together and do all they can to get custody of his niece.
In my point of view, the dialogues use too many offensive words.
This is not my favorite genre but I did enjoy the story line. There is a reality feel to this story. It is heart felt and emotional. I prefer a lighter read with fantasy, adventure, and twists.

Even Better than Looks Like Trouble to Me
What did you like best about Trouble Times Two? What did you like least?
This, time the Characters were a bit more believable. There was an honesty and an understanding between the two leads that sounded more like a real relationahip.
What other book might you compare Trouble Times Two to and why?
Not sure I try not to compare books. They are each so different with different states of minds from the authors.
What didn’t you like about Zachary Liebenstein’s performance?
This narrator needs work and that is putting it mildly. First, he doesn't know the correct pronunciations of the words. It was like he looked them up on google but didn't bother to look at the phonetic portion. Second, the emphasis on the words for certain characters was ay too forced.
Was Trouble Times Two worth the listening time?
Yes, the story line was so much better than the previous one I am very glad that I spent the time and effort of listening to a not so good narrator to hear the finish of the series.
Any additional comments?

Good Listen!
I don’t usually read many books from this genre, but I really enjoyed this one. The narration brought the story to life and held my interest throughout. The story was well thought out, complete and will keep you listening. I will be watching for this author in the future.

Wild ride!
--I was given this audibook in exchange for an honest review
Calinda B brings us another hot, wild ride for Jace and Zoey. The book picks up right where Looks Like Trouble to Me leaves off, so it is recommended that you read book one first. So much trouble follows Jace, it is hard to believe he has turned out as good as he has. You just melt every time he talks to Marni..his "baby girl"..a bad boy with a baby, you can't get hotter than that. Zoey and Jace face many challenges in this book. They work on trust and opening up to each other while juggling real life's struggles. Between Billy and Janna's wrenches that they keep throwing into the mix, and school, work and taking care of Marni, Jace and Zoey are able to pull through. I especially enjoyed meeting Zed, he helped us see some of Jace's past and how he is able to learn to cope and forgive.
Calinda is constantly bringing us great stories of struggle, it's refreshing to have a story where there are real life issues being dealt with.
Zachary Liebenstein continues to narrate this story with his mellow baritone voice. He brings sensuality to the story and emotion. He is the perfect voice for the story from the hot sex scenes to the emotional Zoey breakdowns.

Starting to Live!
I finished Trouble Times Two by Calinda Be and it took me awhile before I could get all my emotions in check. This book was perfect and I have nothing bad to say about the story and especially the narrator. I know that I've ranted about a particular narrator that Calinda has chosen in two if her other audiobooks but this one along with the book before this one was great!
Narrator Zachary Liebenstein did a fantastic job! He kept me glued to my seat with every word that he poured out. I especially liked when his voice would get softer and quieter. I didn't have any problems with distinguishing each characters voice and accents so it was easy to know which character was speaking throughout the story. I hope to hear more work he's done in the future. Overall, this is a 5 star rating!
I feel that she could push this story into another direction and go ahead and make it a bigger series or do this one as a standalone but I think it will take two stories to complete it. I think she should write a story about Jace's sister. Her life living wild, the drugging, and partying. Then write a second book of her getting her life together and meeting someone special. Basically the exact same thing she did with Jace but a bit different. Remember, give it some thought on writing two books about Jace's sister. I know they will sell, I guarantee it!

Troubled Review...
Not that great of a story...weak plot. Nine hour book could've been cut in half. Male narrator did a fair job of transitioning between male and female characters.
