About this listen

Number one New York Times best-selling author of the Princess Diaries, Meg Cabot knows the difficulties (real or otherwise) of awkward teenage years.

In Twilight, Cabot continues her series about Suze Simon, the teenage mediator with an other-worldly boyfriend, Jesse de Silva. But when fellow mediator Paul Slater threatens to send Jesse back to where he came from, can Suze stop him in time?

I loved this book when I read it; loved Jesse in particular. The audio version was good but I probably expected too much from the narrator who was good but not great.

My favorite book in the series

this book carries on with assumptions that you know what is happening when you don't. I agree with others it feels like there is a book missing from between this one and the previous one

incomplete

The world, the story, the happy ending, read this when I was younger and it was a lovely hit of nostalgia since I didn’t realize she had added to the series after I had read it and hoped so badly for more, love this series so much!!!!

Love the story

I listened this long thinking the MC would grow as a person as time went on. but I was wrong. the MC is immature, selfish and shallow and annoyingly judgemental of everyone but herself. At this point the entire story has become depressing and redundant. I will not be listening to the rest of this series.

way too hallow

Wonderful sometimes tear jerker original series. Characters very developed. Some you love others you would love to punch

So happy to continue the story with the right one reading for the characters. The previous book was rough just due to the new narrator. You made the right choice!

Old narrator is back!!!

It was hard to jump from book 4, "Darkest Hour" to "Twilight" because there seemed to be a few things missing between the two books. Then I discovered that "Haunted" should be numbered book 5 and "Twilight" should be numbered book 6. These last two books do not even have the Mediator as part of the title no less the correct numbers. It would be much easier for fans to follow the series if the listings were more consistent.

Great Series but Titles Are Confusing

I remembered about this series recently and decided to listen to it this time.
This book is still amazing, even though I obviously outgrew some of the aspects of it, the slow paced romance still does it for me.

I really, really loved the narrator. The voice was perfect for Suze, the other characters were distinctive and didn't sound annoying. And the way she narrated the most emotional fragments of the book (and there are a few extremely emotional parts) got me crying like a teenager again.

Warning: Unfortunately, even though The proposal and Remembrance (two books set a few years after Twilight) are narrated by the same person, they sound horrible (she changed her narrating style into something that sounds like a weird attempt to be sleepy/sexy and sarcastic at the same time; it really spoils the listening for me), so if you were hoping to seamlessly move to the newer books, you might be really disappointed. I was. I decided to return them and order the physical books instead :<

Extraordinary performance!

I loved this series up to book four. I don’t know what happened to Suze. She was smart, brave, and a winner. In this book, she is a nutty teenager in love. If I heard her say “my boyfriend” one more time I would have puked. He’s a ghost not a boyfriend. It’s delusional. At least the author maintained her grasp on what is reasonable. As did several adult advisors to Suze. She panics and falls apart as if the entire world is on the brink of extinction. Their LOVE is everything!!! She is petulant and selfish. She can’t get anyone else to see things her way. To the adults, it’s just teenage angst and rightly so. Jesse doesn’t act like he cares for her very much half the time. Her feelings are not reciprocated. Creepyish.

Not Sure What Happened
