About this listen
Secrets of Kung Fulio is the first kung fu adventure in the series that inspired the video game.
Raziel Tenza and Rin Torra are likely the worst Moonken to ever train at the monastery on the mystical shores of Crescent Isle. But when an insurgent gang of miscreants (The Red Cobras) threaten to run them out of town, they decide to team up and stand their ground. The only problem is...they stink at kung fu! With no fighting ability whatsoever, (but a whole lot of gusto!) they embark on an epic martial arts adventure in search of a shortcut to the ultimate badass Kung Fulio power of their ancestors. In their desperate struggle, they accidentally unleash raging Darksprite demons, get wrapped up in a legendary mystical heist, discover secret powerful artifacts that will shape their destiny, and determine the fate of the Monks of Twilight.
This book is part one of a series of kung fu action-adventure fantasy novels from famed video game creator, artist, and producer Trent Kaniuga. Also see Return of the Ancients (Book 2) and the World of Twilight Monk (Art Book) for more kung fu action!

That being said, I can't wish the best for this series enough, and I really want to see it succeed just as much as I want Rin and Raz to succeed! Will be eagerly waiting for the rest of the story!
A strong start to a compelling setting

I was legitimately left wanting more where this book left off. Like playing a game demo that is just getting good and comes to a too soon end. This story has tons of world building, and lore it’s hard to imagine someone not getting exited for the next release.
Killer start to a story, looking forward to more!

I put my headphones on with a smile, because I knew that when I pressed “Play” I would be transported to the far away world of Twilight Monk.
A fantasy world full of Moonkins, Deamon Toads and Kung Fu Masters all oozing with personality and character. I like that it doesnt take itself *too* seriously, and allows for humor to offset some of the tension. I also really loved the dialogue between characters, it was fun to hear the different accents and listen to the voice acting- what a treat! You can tell they had fun working on this, and it definitely shows.
A whimsical character driven adventure, full of charm and suspense.
