This is the second book by Frump that Ive listened to & actually thought it was better than Until The Sea Shall Free Them. My only problem with his books are the narrator. Maybe it's just me but, hours of listening to a Batman like, raspy whisper gets annoying really fast. I love the story & the history but at the same time find myself wanting it to hurry up & get done. I listen to alot of books multiple times but it will be a long time before I'm ready to sit through this one again.

Batman again!

I loved the story, but really struggled with the narrator. It felt like a constant movie trailer. Deep voice and raspy, I felt like it pounded through me. But the story was very good, so I carried on and made it through it. If you can get through the narration challenges, the story is excellent if you are a person of the sea.

Great story, but struggled with the narrator
