Fils d'immigrés algériens, Nadir est un enfant du 9-3 qui a grandi avec pour seuls sommets les barres HLM de sa cité. Mais ce n'est pas parce qu'on est né du mauvais côté du périph' qu'on est obligé d'y rester ! Après un tour du monde à vélo réalisé en solo, il décide de s'attaquer à l'Everest et s'invente un faux CV d'alpiniste afin de convaincre un guide de l'y emmener. Arrivé sur place, la supercherie ne tient pas longtemps, et face à la difficulté de l'ascension, tous pensent qu'il va rapidement renoncer. C'est justement pour ça qu'il a continué.
